Bedford, MA – Libman Education has released an ICD-10 version of its COC Exam Review, a course designed to help coders efficiently prepare for AAPC’s Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) exam. The COC coding credential (formerly called CPC-H) demonstrates specialized knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS Level II coding skills, and is the only stand-alone outpatient facility coding credential in the healthcare industry.
“Physicians are increasingly moving from private practice to hospital groups, leading to career opportunities for coders in outpatient facilities,” said Angela Lehoux, CCS, instructor and education specialist with Libman Education. “This is an opportune time for physician coders to earn their COC and join the ranks of outpatient coders.”

The COC Exam Review allows coders to demonstrate proficiency in assigning accurate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures and services performed in the outpatient setting, including:
- Emergency department visits
- Outpatient clinic visits
- Same day surgeries
- Diagnostic testing, both radiology and laboratory
- Outpatient therapies including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and chemotherapy
