Why do I have to do the child abuse course every renewal?

It is a Pennsylvania requirement that all health-related licensees (except for licensees of the State Board of Veterinary Medicine) and funeral directors who are applying for renewal of a license that is issued by the Board to complete at least 2 hours of Board-approved continuing education in child abuse recognition and reporting requirements as a condition of renewal.
